MINSK, November 22. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has undergone an operation on a knee joint at the presidential administration’s hospital, the presidential press secretary said on Saturday.

Lukashenko feels satisfactory and now performs his duties in full, Natalia Eismont said.

“The reason behind the operation was a sports injury received while he was practising ice hockey, the operation was planned beforehand but due to the president’s tense schedule it was impossible to perform it earlier,” she said.

The head of state is staying in his countryside residence, she said.

“He will need three or four days for rehabilitation,” the presidential press secretary said.
