BISHKEK, November 22. /TASS/. The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and Switzerland as well are set to facilitate the holding of parliamentary and then presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan in 2015, Swiss President Didier Burkhalter, the OSCE head, said on Saturday after his talks with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on Saturday.

Burkhalter said that OSCE was ready to support the countries that applied for assistance in holding the elections. In particular, the OSCE is ready to carry out a monitoring mission in Kyrgyzstan.

Kyrgyzstan’s president said that his republic had much to learn from Switzerland.

“Its growth level and living standards of the population are even higher than in the countries rich in oil and gas,” Atambayev said. “The GDP is 100-fold higher than ours and it justifies once more that people are of most importance, not mineral resources.”

He expressed the hope that in the near future bilateral projects would be implemented and the partnership would come to “a practical aspect.
