Prime Minister Shinzo Abe says he wants voters to support his decision to implement economy improvement program

TOKYO, November 21. /TASS/. Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told the government on Friday he dissolves the lower house of parliament. The election campaign begins on December 2, and the snap elections are due on December 14.

He said he wanted voters to support his decision to implement economy improvement program. Japan’s GDP fell by 7.3% in the second quarter, and by 1.6% in the third.

Abe said he would leave the office without a parliamentary majority after the elections.
