ROME, November 13. /TASS/. The number of flood victims has risen to five.

According to the ANSA agency, a body of a man, 36, was recovered in Moscazzano, not far from Cremona. According to the police, the man was trying to get out of the flooded building but drowned. Earlier four people died in different areas of Apennines and of the Ligurian Sea coast where pouring rains have persisted for several days.

As it was earlier reported, after lasting rain the Lake Maggiore overflew its banks. A gale warning was announced in coastal cities. The islands located in the center of one of the greatest lakes are at major risk. They are temporarily cut off. Two rivers in Milan also overflew their banks that led to flooding of northern quarters of the city. Heavy rains resulted in flood in Monza.

According to local forecasters, the weather will get better within hours, but a new cyclone is expected to set in by the weekend.
