KIEV, November 12. /TASS/. Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said the Ukrainian armed forces were involved in combat preparations.
“We have a clear task to get ready for combat operations. We are preparing for that. The armed forces are being redeployed,” Poltorak said at a meeting of the Cabinet on Wednesday.
“A great deal has been done to prepare the forward line of defense and the same work is proceeding in the rear echelon,” he said.
At the same time, Poltorak said the armed forces have not completed preparations for the winter season yet.
“We have concluded arms supply contracts wprth more than one billion hryvnias ($67 million). Military hardware is being delivered to army units,” he added.
