BERLIN, November 9. /TASS/. President of the European Parliament Martin Schultz on Sunday called on Europe to keep doors for dialogue with Russia open,
“Whether we like it or not, Russia is a leading power, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council,” he said, adding that the conflict in the former Soviet republic (Ukraine) could be solved only by political means.
He said Europe should stick to its positionto preserve Ukraine’s territorial integrity but, at the same time, keep open communications channels to maintain dialogue with Russia.
