Obama asks US Congress for $6.2 billion to fight Ebola

WASHINGTON, November 5. /TASS/. US President Barack Obama has addressed the US Congress with a request of $6.2 billion from the federal budget to fight the spread of the disease caused by the Ebola virus, US officials said Thursday.

According to US officials, $2.4 billion is supposed to be rovided to the health department and social services and the US State Department will get $2 billion. The rest is to be put in a fund to be used in case of emergency.
