KIEV, November 5. /TASS/. Alexei Poroshenko, a son of Ukraine’s President Pyotr Poroshenko, has been officially recognized as lawmaker of the Verkhovna Rada, or Ukraine’s parliament, the Central Election Commission said Wednesday.
Alexei Poroshenko ran for a seat in the parliament in a one-seat constituency in the city of Vinnitsa, west-central Ukraine. He enrolled the support of 64.04% voters.
At the 2012 parliamentary elections, his father, the current Ukrainian President Pyotr Porohenko, ran for a parliamentary seat in the same constituency. He then won 71.5% of the vote.
