Latvia blacklists another Russian film star

Earlier several Russian celebrities were included on black lists depriving them of the right to enter Latvia on the eve of New Wave youth pop singing contest

RIGA, November 1. /TASS/. Latvia’s Foreign Ministry has blacklisted a Russian actor, Mikhail Porechenkov, Minister Edgars Rinkevics said on Saturday.

Rinkevics said that Latvia would be consistent in its policy against those who undermined principles of international law and so Porechenkov was not welcomed in Latvia.

Last summer Latvian Foreign Minister included several Russian celebrities on black lists depriving them of the right to enter Latvia on the eve of New Wave youth pop singing contest over the situation in Ukraine.

On October 24 Rinkevics added the Russian actor Ivan Okhlobystin on the non grata list explaining that the actor’s statements were supposedly stoking ethnic tensions.
