Gazprom chief arrives at European Commission building for resumed trilateral gas talks

The parties took a break early on Thursday for discussion of EU financial guarantees that Ukraine will pay its gas debt to Russia and make an advance payment for new gas deliveries

BRUSSELS, October 30 /TASS/. Gazprom Chief Alexei Miller and Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak have arrived at the European Commission building for trilateral Russia-EU-Ukraine gas negotiations that resumed late on Thursday.

The parties took a break early on Thursday for discussion of EU financial guarantees that Ukraine will pay its gas debt to Russia and make an advance payment for new gas deliveries.

Novak said Russia had not yet received any confirmation that Ukraine and the European Union had signed a document on financial guarantees. He, however, expressed the hope that all gas-related documents would be signed on Thursday.
