KIEV, October 27. /TASS/. Almost 600 reports about violations at early parliamentary elections had been received by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry by 9pm on Sunday, the ministry’s press release said.

“As many as 597 reports about events related with the election process have come. Most of reports in Kiev - 92,” the document said.

Fifty-one reports were about voter bribery (most of all in Black Sea’s Odessa region - ten], 68 were on spread of canvassing materials (most of all in central Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region - nine), 33 reports touched upon damaged ballot papers (most of all in Kiev - 11). There were also 22 cases of false information and 20 calls about mining, the Interior Ministry said.

Members of the election committee have signed empty protocols at a polling station in southern Ukraine’s Nikolaev, Ukrainian news agency UNN said, observers from the Ukrainian Committee of Voters said.

Violators at elections in Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, will be punished severely, Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, one of leaders of People’s Front, told reporters on Sunday.

“All offenders in the voting will be punished strictly, even very strictly,” he said, noting that “they will be punished so strictly as this should not have been done in usual situation.”

84 thousand law enforcers are ensuring security in the country, he said.
