DONETSK, October 24. /TASS/. The explosion at the Donetsk chemical plant in the beginning of the week was estimated to be about 10 tons TNT equivalent, the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic Prime Minister Alexander Zakharchenko said on Friday.
Buildings adjacent to the plant were destroyed during the explosion, he said. “There is nothing there at all. Only the ruins,” Zakharchenko said.
Torchka-U tactical missile hit the plant and caused the explosion, he said.
The Donetsk chemical plant has been attacked several times. Last time strikes were delivered on the plant on October 20.
