DONETSK, October 21. /TASS/. Over 1,500 houses have been damaged as a result of the fighting in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, chief of the Donetsk City Council’s housing department Valery Litvinov said on Tuesday.
As of today 1,575 houses have been damaged. “These are 683 communal houses, mainly multi-storey buildings. Damage has been caused to supporting structures in 206 houses. Substantive and expensive repairs are needed,” he said.
More 869 houses are in private ownership. Windows have been smashed out in almost 700 houses, Litvinov said.
