LUXEMBOURG, October 20. /TASS/. European Union has decided to ban exports of jet fuel to Syria, says a joint statement the EU Council took upon the end of a session of member-states' foreign ministers.
It says the EU reached political consensus on imposing a ban on exports of jet fuel and additives to it, since it allegedly can be used in airstrikes against the country's civilian population.
The ban is a suspended one, however, since the EU Council is yet to draft an appropriate legal act, which it promises to come up with shortly.
