BERLIN, October 18. /TASS/. Two alleged supporters of terrorist groups - the Islamic State and Ahrar al-Sham - were detained in Germany’s Aachen (North Rhine-Westphalia) on Saturday.
The local prosecution says one of the detained is a citizen of Tunisia, and the other - a citizen of Russia.
Tunisia’s citizen, of 38, is suspected of assisting the Islamic State. He gave to the militants clothes worth Ђ1,100, as well as Ђ3,400 in cash. Besides, he organised for a 17 year-old German citizen a trip to Syria, where the young man joined the militants.
The other suspect is a Russian citizen of 28 - Yusup G. He is considered to be involved in transfer of money and clothes to terrorists, the source said.
The police searched 13 flats of alleged Islamists across Germany, the prosecution said in a statement.
