MILAN, October 17 /TASS/. Local elections in Donetsk will take place on a territory defined in the September 19 agreement in compliance with the law signed by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

“The local elections that are due to take place in Donetsk should be held on a territory defined by the September 19 agreements in compliance with the signed law,” Poroshenko said after a four-party meeting with the leaders of Germany, France and Russia.

Some progress, according to Poroshenko, has been made on the gas issue and the main parameters of a future contract.

“The first decision is that the sides should firmly stick to the Minsk memorandum and focus their efforts on implementation of all the 12 points without exception,” Poroshenko said.
