WARSAW, October 15. /TASS/. An officer of the Polish army has been detained on suspicion of spying for Russia, a spokesman for the chief military prosecutor’s office confirmed on Wednesday.
He refrained from further details, saying the investigation was just at an initial stage. He only said that the officer had been detained by Poland’s Internal Security Agency.
Local media said that the man’s office at one of the defence ministry’s departments had been searched.
According to the television channel TVN24, it was a top-ranking officer who had access to big amounts of information.
