He also said that a new governor of the Donetsk region would be presented in the city of Kramatorsk later in the day.
Earlier, certain media outlets said that Taruta would be replaced with General Aleksandr Kikhtenko.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko dissolved Ukraine's parliament in late August in a move to clean the parliament from the allies of his predecessor Viktor Yanukovych and scheduled snap parliamentary elections for October 26.
