“Yes, it is really so,” Taruta said adding that the resignation was agreed upon as he has to take part in the election campaign.
He also said that a new governor of the Donetsk region would be presented in the city of Kramatorsk later in the day.
Earlier, certain media outlets said that Taruta would be replaced with General Aleksandr Kikhtenko.
