LOS ANGELES, October 8. /TASS/. A plane sent to extinguish a wildfire in the Yosemite National Park crashed in northern California Tuesday, the fate of the pilot is unknown yet, a spokesman for California’s Department of Forestry and Fire Protection told a TASS correspondent.
The site of the crash has been identified. A search for the pilot of the plane, identified by local media as an S-2T air tanker, is underway.
