Two killed, eight wounded in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk

Dwelling houses were damaged by shells and subsequent fires in the Kievsky and Kuibyshevsky districts

DONETSK, October 5. /TASS/. The situation in Ukraine’s eastern city of Donetsk remains tense, with two persons killed and eight wounded as the shelling continued all through the day, the official website of the Donetsk mayor and the city council said on Sunday.

Dwelling houses were damaged by shells and subsequent fires in the Kievsky and Kuibyshevsky districts. Shells hit a production shop of the window making and selling company Zenit, damaging the roof and equipment. Eight civilians were wounded, two more persons received deadly wounds.

Despite the serious situation, repair brigades were working to resume electricity supplies to a number of the city’s districts cut off in artillery shelling on October 1.
