Observers in Donetsk heard shelling at about 6pm local time. Experts said the shells were fired from Uragan systems. Fifteen minutes later, the head of the ICRC office in Donetsk said by telephone the office was under fire and one of staff members was killed, the report said.
Observers said that 30 minutes after the incident, a representative of the Emergencies Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) called them, confirming that rescuers who arrived at the office, which is located around 3km north-west of the center of the city, found a body at the site. DNR rescuers and law-enforcement authorities said that by the identity documents found at the site they identified the victim as a Swiss citizen Laurent Etienne.
