UNTED NATIONS, September 27. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Saturday reaffirmed the invitation to Iyad Madani, Secretary-General of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (IOC), to visit Moscow.
Lavrov and Madadi met on the sidelines of the 69th session of the U.N. General Assembly now underway in New York.
“Our meeting will allow us to understand where we stand in unilateral and regional relations,” Lavrov said.
“I would like to reaffirm our invitation to you to visit Russia,” he said.
Lavrov and Madani then continued their discussion behind closed doors.
