UNITED NATIONS, September 27. /ITAR-TASS/. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Saturday urged Russia to ensure a durable ceasefire in Ukraine.
In a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, held on the sidelines of the 69th session of the U.N. General Assembly in New York, Ban called on Russia to use its influence in order to ensure a sustainable ceasefire.
Ban told Lavrov he would personally interact with world leaders in order to ensure a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, the U.N. press service said.
