DONETSK, September 24. /ITAR-TASS/. The self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) will start paying social benefits from September 25, DPR Deputy Prime Minister for Social Issues Alexander Karaman said on Wednesday.

Social benefits will be paid to three categories of citizens: veterans of the Great Patriotic War, persons disabled from childhood and families of survivors, he said.

Earlier, the authorities of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic said they were ready to start paying wages and pensions to residents.

“A pilot project for receiving pensions and wages has been worked out. We’re planning to begin payments within the week,” LPR head Igor Plotnitsky said.
