KIEV, September 22. /ITAR-TASS/. A first train bound for Luhansk in the southeast of Ukraine left Kiev on September 21 after railway service had been resumed. “The train was 100% full,” the administration of the Railway Transport of Ukraine said on its website on Monday.

Train No. 520/521 Kiev-Luhansk was to have ten rail cars, but because of a big number of passengers the number of rail cars was increased to 18, the railway administration said. Train Kiev-Luhansk will run every day, it said.

The train left Kiev at 6.56 pm local time on September 21 and it is to arrive in Luhansk at 11.48 am local time (12.48 am Moscow time.)

There was no long distance railway service from Luhansk since July 26 because as a result of military operations in the southeast of Ukraine part of the railway infrastructure was destroyed.
