SCO security service officials to discuss joint response to common threats

DUSHANBE, September 19. /ITAR-TASS/. Security service officials from the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states will meet in Dushanbe on Friday to discuss a joint response to common threats.

Attending the meeting of the Council of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) will be officials from Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Russia.

They will discuss interaction between RATS and relevant agencies in Mongolia, Iran and Afghanistan, detection of persons who fought in armed conflicts on the side of international terrorist, separatist and extremist organisations, as well as joint efforts to ensure the security of transboundary oil and gas pipelines.
