HANOI, September 15. /ITAR-TASS/. An international conference that opened in Hanoi on Monday will discuss developing cooperation between Vietnam, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Russia.
The forum is organized by the Ho Chi Minh political academy with participation of more than 100 leading experts in international political and economic relations.
The main goal of the forum is to analyze and assess relations between Vietnam, ASEAN and Russia and assess the role of partnership between the organization and Russia in processes to maintain peace, stability and development in the Asia-Pacific, ASEAN Secretary General Le Luong Minh said in his opening speech.
The director of the Ho Chi Minh academy said social, economic and cultural cooperation would be among the main issues on the agenda.
