BRUSSELS, September 11. /ITAR-TASS/. The European Union’s sanctions against Russia are devoid of elementary logic as they are adopted simultaneously with deescalation of the situation in Ukraine, Russia’s Ambassador to the EU Vladimir Chizhov said Thursday, while commenting on the EU’s decision to expand punitive measures against Moscow.
By imposing sanctions on Moscow, the European Union does not leave Russia any other choice than to adopt countermeasures, Chizhov said.
