Russian defense minister’s jet receives permission to cross Polish airspace

WARSAW, August 29. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Defense Minister’s jet has received permission to cross Polish airspace on a return flight to Moscow from Slovakia, the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces said.

Poland denied the entry earlier in the day under the pretext that the Russian authorities had requested the passage of a civilian jet, not the military one.

Shoigu, who had attended a ceremony in the city of Banska Bystrica timed for the 70th anniversary of the Slovak uprising against the Nazis, had to return to an airport in Bratislava.

“The pilot has produced the flight plan for a civilian jet and it can take off already now,” a spokesman for the operational command said.
