TEL AVIV, August 26. /ITAR-TASS/. Israel has accepted Egypt’s proposal on infinite ceasefire in Gaza, a government source in Jerusalem told ITAR-TASS on Tuesday, adding the sides would voice their conditions in the next 30 days.

Israel is going to insist on Gaza’s demilitarization.

Meanwhile, three Palestinians had died as a result of Israeli air strikes in Gaza earlier on Tuesday shortly before Israel’s decision to accept the Egypt-proposed truce. The Palestinian media reported that the plane had fired a missile at a group of Palestinians near Rafah on the border with Egypt.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was expected to arrive in Ramallah, the West Bank of Jordan, at 16:00 UTC to deliver a speech and explain the details of the ceasefire agreement.

The ceasefire agreement provides for a month-long ceasefire; the opening of all crossings on the border with Gaza, including Rafah, on the border with Egypt; the expansion of a fishing area for Palestinian fishermen and the dispatch of construction materials to Gaza for the reconstruction of ruined infrastructure.
