DONETSK, August 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Separatist militias of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) in the south-east of Ukraine are ready to ensure security of Russia’s humanitarian convoy in LPR, a DPR representative said on Friday.
“We are ready to set guards and regulate the cargo movement. We also hope for good judgment of the Ukrainian side that will not take destructive action against the humanitarian convoy,” he said.He declined to specify the destination point of the convoy.
“Krasnodon was previously named as the main logistics point. It was planned to move the cargo from it through Nikitovka to Luhansk. Now, I’m not sure of this route,” the DPR representative said.
The first group of trucks of the Russian humanitarian convoy entered Ukraine on Friday and moved towards Luhansk, an ITAR-TASS corresponded reported.
