Military prosecutors back to duty in Ukraine as president reinstates the role

KIEV, August 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine's president has reinstated the post of military prosecutor, functions disbanded in 2012.

They will be recruited from among serving ranks or from former officers now retired and will operate in regions where civilian prosecutors do not function, President Petro Poroshenko's press service said on Friday.

New rules, already approved by parliament, have been signed into law by Ukraine's head of state.
