KIEV, August 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko plans to talk about peace at the negotiations due to take place August 26 in Minsk, the presidential press service said Thursday.

Poroshenko is going to Minsk together with “a strong team” of three high-rank representatives of the European Union, the press release quoted him.

“To have strong solid positions at the negotiations on peace, it is important to rely on people’s unity, a strong country, and a strong Army,” it said.

August 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Kazakhstani President Nursulant Nazarbayev are expected to hold talks with Poroshenko in Minsk.

The latter man will be supported at the summit by the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, Trade Commissioner Karel de Gucht and Energy Commissioner Guenther Oettinger.
