DONETSK /Rostov region/, August 19. /ITAR-TASS/. International observers monitoring territory fronting Russia and Ukraine have recorded no cases of military forces breaching the border, a briefing heard on Tuesday in this southern Russian region.

Rostov's borderland had remained intact, said Paul Picard, heading the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) mission to the territory.

Helicopter gunships sighted in the area had flown only along the border, Picard said, adding that OSCE personnel had reported noise and shooting from Ukrainian territory fronting Russia.

The 19-strong international group arrived on July 29 , tasked to monitor the area until October.
