TEHRAN, August 18./ITAR-TASS/. The participants in the Iran nuclear issue talks will resume their negotiations on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York in September, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Monday.

“As for the bilateral negotiations with the six world powers, they will be held before the General Assembly meeting. We now discuss the specific date and place,” Araghchi told Iranian reporters, answering a question of the IRNA news agency.

He is quoted by IRNA as saying that “Iran is currently in talks with the six world powers (five members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) through their embassies in Tehran, except the United States, the interests of which in Iran are represented by the Swiss embassy.” According to Araghchi, these talks “will be continued before the beginning of the UN General Assembly session, opening on September 24.
