MOSCOW, August 15./ITAR-TASS/. Palestine's chief negotiator Saib Arikat will visit Moscow on August 17-19 to discuss the Gaza Strip situation with Russian diplomats, Palestinian Ambassador to Russia Fayed Mustafa told ITAR-TASS on Friday.
"Saib Arikat, head of the Palestinian delegation at the talks with Israel, will meet with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov on August 18," Mustafa said. "His meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is planned for August 19."
The parties will focus on the latest events in the Gaza Strip, the future political line and the urgency of the international community's efforts towards a peaceful settlement, according to the ambassador.
Saib Arikat is a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization's Executive Committee.
