In a telephone conversation, Lavrov discussed “practical aspects of implementing Russia’s initiative for humanitarian aid to the conflict-torn regions in southeastern Ukraine”, the Foreign Ministry said.
“Russia, Ukraine and the International Committee of the Red Cross are continuing intensive contacts,” the ministry said.
“The priority is that militiamen in southeastern Ukraine and Kiev-controlled units should join efforts in ensuring the security of the upcoming humanitarian mission,” it said.
During the conversation, “Russia called for immediately clarifying the fate of Russian photojournalist Andrei Stenin”, the ministry said.
