North Korea launches 2 more short-range missiles into Sea of Japan

SEOUL, August 14. /ITAR-TASS/. North Korea on Thursday fired two more short-range ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan, South Korea's YTN news channel reported.

Earlier on Thursday, North Korea fired three missiles into the Sea of Japan, apparently testing its upgraded KN-09 missile salvo system. South Korean military officials said the missiles had been launched at 09.30am local time from the town of Wonsan in the north-eastern direction. The missiles flew some 200 kilometers before falling into the sea.

North Korea has carried out 17 tests of short-range ballistic missiles since the beginning of this year.
