CAIRO, August 10 /ITAR-TASS/. Palestine’s delegation has agreed to the Egyptian mediators’ initiative to declare another 72-hour ceasefire, Arab television channels said on Sunday.

According to some sources, the Palestinian delegation will stay in Cairo until Egypt succeeds in persuading Israel to satisfy its demands. Palestinians plan to stay at least till Monday when ambassadors at the League of Arab States will have an emergency meeting over the situation in Gaza.

Last Friday, the Israeli delegation left the Egyptian capital city after the previous 72-hour truce had expired. Israel insisted on the disarmament of armed groups active in the Gaza Strip, while Palestinians refused to do that. Apart from that, the Israeli side was categorically against any talks under fire.
