ULAN-UDE, August 08. /ITAR-TASS/. Aviation plant of one of Rostec holdings’ subsidiaries, Russian Helicopters, has not yet received four expensive machines ordered from Germany, Executive Director of Russian Helicopters Leonid Belykh said on Friday.

“They have been stuck at customs in Germany for more than two weeks,” he said. “I hope this has been due to misunderstanding.”

Russian Helicopters are not on the EU sanctions list but the EU adopted a list of products whose supplies to Russia are subject to additional approval.

The situation with German machines was “not critical”, Belykh said. The holding’s current policy was to buy Russian-built machines as Rostec subsidiary Stankoprom is carrying out import substitution programmes.

Ten percent of helicopter components are imported but the company could quickly switch to Russian-produced components if needed, Belykh said.

Over 75 years Ulan-Ude aviation plant has built more than 8,000 flying vehicles. The plant now produces up to 100 helicopters a year, more than 50% - for state defence procurement.
