"In fact, experts say that the actual losses are 2-2. 5 times higher than in the official statistics (625)," said Speaker of the parliament of self-proclaimed Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev at a news conference in Donetsk on Wednesday.
"A serious damage has been caused to the Donbass industrial infrastructure. A total of 156 electric power stations, eight boiler rooms, seven gas pipelines, five water supply pipelines, 258 apartment blocks and 41 bridges have been destroyed," Tsarev said. "Some 1,500-7,000 people have been killed on the territory of Donbass alone since the force operation began," Tsarev said.
I think the war will go on, but we will not surrender. Ukrainian society should realize itself that the war must be stopped. Today, the Party of War in Ukraine is stronger than the Party of Peace," Tsarev said.
He went on to say that the Kiev administration has been planning to carry out a mop-up operation in Novorossiya by August 20. "The reason is that in October, the population will have to pay bills for communal services which will be three times up the previous bills. Besides, Poroshenko needs a victory so as on the wave of the victory to hold parliamentary election to ensure parliamentary majority to support him," the speaker of the parliament of self-proclaimed Novorossiya said.
