At least 150 die in strong earthquake in China’s Yunnan

The earthquake occurred at 16:30 local time (12:30 Moscow time)

BEIJING, August 03, 16:50 /ITAR-TASS/. At least 150 were killed in an earthquake in China’s southwestern province of Yunnan, Xinhua reported on Sunday.

The 6.5-magnutide earthquake occurred at 16:30 local time (12:30 Moscow time) on Sunday.

The epicenter was located at a depth of 12 kilometres some 23 kilometres southwest of the town of Zhaotong.

 An earthquake measured 4.5 points rocked the north-western province Gansu in China.

The tremors were fixed at 00:24 local time (20:24 Moscow time on Friday) in the Wenxian. The earthquake nested at a depth of six kilometres. The communications with several settlements and villages was partially disrupted.
