KIEV, July 27/ /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s defence ministry is verifying reports about Ukrainian servicemen crossing over to Russia, Deputy Defence Minister Igor Kabanenko said on Sunday.
“In connection with an incident that allegedly took place on July 25, when 40 Ukrainian servicemen of the 51st infantry brigade crossed the border into Russia, the Ukrainian defence minister has appointed an internal investigation,” Kabanenko said. “The minister will report the results of the investigation to the Ukrainian president within 24 hours.
