Wreckage of Air Algerie jet reportedly discovered in Mali

The McDonnell Douglas MD-83 passenger jet crashed in Thursday apparently killing all 116 passengers and six crew on board

LONDON, July 24, 22:35 /ITAR-TASS/. Wreckage of an Air Algerie passenger jet that crashed in Mali on Thursday has been discovered, media reported citing Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.

The McDonnell Douglas MD-83 passenger jet bound from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso to Algeria’s capital Algiers crashed in Thursday apparently killing all 116 passengers and six crew on board.

Contact with the plane was lost 50 minutes after takeoff when it was flying above northern Mali.
