Israeli army rebuffs attacks of two militant groups in Gaza

TEL AVIV, July 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Israeli soldiers have prevented two militant groups from entering the Israeli territory through tunnels in the Gaza Strip. The press service of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said that at least 10 Palestinians were killed.

Over the last two weeks of Israel’s Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza Strip, more than 500 Palestinians were killed and around 3,200 more were injured, medical services in the Palestinian enclave said.

On July 17, the Israeli military launched a ground offensive of the Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza Strip. The ground operation was preceded by massive artillery preparations and strikes from air and sea at the territory of the Palestinian enclave.

Over the course of the operation, the IDF struck 2,700 targets in the Gaza Strip.
