“We are continuing to place strategic stake on Russia,” Lukashenko said on Thursday at a meeting with the country’s high-ranking diplomats. “What the need do I have to put it across to you? We have no alternative. And why should we avoid normal relations with our fraternal and friendly neighbouring state that is always ready to back us up as no-one else would do.”
The presidential press service said that Lukashenko still believed the potential of the Union State had not been exhausted.
