“A residential house was partially destroyed in residential area Mirny where a flat caught fire in a neighbouring residential house hit by shell. Wounded people are being brought to city medical institutions. Three people were killed, ambulances have given first aid to 11 who have got gunshot wounds and injuries over the last day.”
More than 4,750 people were cut from electric power supplies in Artemovsky and Kamennobrodsky districts as well as the settlement of Vidnoye, a Luhansk suburb, gas supply is disrupted in the settlements of Yekaterinovka and Aleksandrovsk in hostilities, the press service said.Luhansk city council has also made the following statement to local residents, “The situation in Luhansk is deteriorating each new day. Therefore, we appeal to people to refrain from trips around the city. Stay at home if you can. If you hear that armed clashes are taking place near your house do not come closely to windows in any way, do not go out on the balcony, take a shelter in a bathroom or a room, windows of which are looking to the opposite side from the place of fire and follow safety rules in emergency situations. Take care of yourself and the lives of your relatives!”
Meanwhile, Ukrainian presidential administration reported that Ukrainian military forces participating in the military operation had unblocked Luhansk international airport overnight to Monday. Three Ukrainian army servicemen were wounded in this operation.
However, the press service of Luhansk People’s Republic dismissed reports that Ukrainian military forces managed to take the airport under control. “The situation did not change, approaches to the airport are under our control,” the press service stated.
