Ukraine’s Interior Ministry detains former mayor of Sloviansk

KIEV, July 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Former mayor of the Ukrainian city of Sloviansk Nelli Shtepa, who left it at the very start of combat in and around the place, has been detained by the Interior Ministry on charges of attempting at the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, the press service of the ministry said.

“At present, she is being convoyed to the Kharkiv department of the Security Service of Ukraine for procedural actions,” the report said.

Shtepa was dismissed from the post earlier by the Territorial Gromada, an interim self-government body, of the Donetsk region.
