The worst situation was in the district of Shevchenko (the city's southeastern part not far from the center) and streets in the Kamennobrodsky district (the north), from where reports came about clashes with use of artillery and firearms. A bullet hit a window of the regional council office, according to the the press service.

Seven servicemen were wounded, two of them receiving severe injuries, by mortar fire in the area of the village of Dyakovo in the Luhansk region.
