MOSCOW, July 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia suggests to hold the next BRICS summit in Ufa, Russia’s presidential aide said.
“We offered our partners to discuss July 9-10 as the dates of the next BRICS summit that can be held in parallel with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit,” Yuri Ushakov told a news briefing on Thursday.
The 6th BRICS summit (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) will take place in Fortaleza, Brazil, on July 15-16.
Russia will take the BRICS presidency on January 1, 2015. Russia is currently developing a concept that includes several initiatives aimed at strengthening the institutional base and expanding investment cooperation between the BRICS member-states.
Russia seeks to develop a “roadmap” on trade, economic and investment cooperation. It will include joint business projects, in the fuel and energy sector, the use of global navigation systems, and cooperation in mining and metallurgy.
